Paris Region Entreprises has held a Techmeeting devoted to Smart Homes which on this occasion took place as part of the Futur en Seine digital festival. In organising this edition, Paris Region Entreprises made ample use of its branches in San Francisco, Shanghai and Tel Aviv, as well as help from partners Advancity, Cap Digital, EIT Digital NUMA and Silver Valley.
Startups hailing from the Paris Region, Europe, Russia, Israel and Hong Kong were given a chance to be introduced to key players in the Paris Region ecosystem, to take part in discussions at a networking lunch, and to attend scheduled individual meetings with major groups set up in the Paris Region at a business convention.
The Smart Homes market is experiencing a substantial boom, despite the high cost of related hardware, and is facing a promising outlook thanks to fast-rising energy prices and an aging world population.
Paris Region Entreprises holds techmeetings on a regular basis that address value-added issues for the Paris Region (like that of Smart Homes), which will help to detect planned new installations, to pursue the development of projects underway and to foster the economic growth of those sectors within the Paris Region.
During the event, 18 startups and 8 major groups (ENGIE, La Poste Group, Icade, Leroy Merlin, Orange, Saint-Gobain, Samsung and SFR) introduced their companies through a 5-minute pitch. This was followed by a business convention during which more than 150 individual meetings paved the way for a host of partnerships. This brief, effective format has already proven its worth several times.
